ElPozo Alimentación creates direct employment for more than 4000 people and its activity generates 23,000 indirect jobs with which the company contributes to the positive evolution of the regional and national economy.

The company from Alhama is committed to the health, safety and well-being of its workers. In order to achieve this objective, they carry out different actions, activities and projects, which are part of their continuous improvement policy.

Ensuring the optimum working conditions in the area of health and safety is a priority for the organisation. For that reason it integrates health and safety systems, which are periodically audited by accredited entities who certify the level of adherence to the legal regulations and their level of efficiency.

In 2016 the company gave more than 13,000 hours of health and safety training to its employees. Its objective is to achieve a high awareness and implication from everyone to improve day after day, and it is the stamp which marks the difference between a company and a business.

Workers of ElPozo Alimentación enjoy services which range from school grants and a nursery for the exclusive use its employees’ children, to a fitness centre, bank branch and shop.

In addition, ElPozo Alimentación has two clinics, with medical assistance 24 hours a day and a cardiology emergency unit, as well as free annual medical check-ups.

The company is firmly committed to employment, especially with those groups which have more difficulties integrating into the labour market. Thus, ElPozo Alimentación has an agreement with the Foundation for the Blind (ONCE) to hire disabled people.

Sport as a school of values

For ElPozo Alimentación playing sport represents values which are firmly in line with their business philosophy, like sacrifice, discipline, commitment, effort, team work and overcoming difficulties.

ElPozo Alimentación transfers this sport philosophy to inside its company, with almost 5000 square metres of space for sport for the exclusive use of its workforce and a wide offer which includes a gym, paddle and tennis courts, a covered pavilion, conceived for the practice of indoor football and other sports such as table tennis. The timetables of the facilities are adapted to the interests of the workers and their different working hours.
